Meet Our Guest Liaison Charlotte Masai
If you have ever visited Makweti, then you will have met Charlotte Masai, our guest liaison extraordinaire. Charlotte was born in Malamukle, near Giyani in Limpopo, which is a good 405km from Makweti. One of four siblings, she became intrigued about life in a safari lodge after reading about it on the Internet. The rest is history because she now lives and works in one of the most beautiful locations in the wild South African bush; thrilled to be constantly learning new things about her surrounding environment.
When Charlotte first came to Makweti, she was working as one of our illustrious chefs, creating masterpieces in the kitchen. She loved her job as she could visually see how happy our guests were when enjoying her food. It seems that guest satisfaction was always at the forefront of what she wanted from her role, as she is now the face of Makweti, welcoming and hosting guests during their stay.
Ensuring people’s happiness is something she’s clearly talented at. In her words: “It makes a big difference in my life.”
Charlotte is mom to her beautiful daughter, Angel, who is a source of great inspiration in her life. She loves nothing more than to sit and listen to all the things that Angel has been up to at school or at home. When Charlotte isn’t listening to Angel’s stories or putting smiles on the faces of our guests, she is spending quality time with her family, cooking for them, reading the bible, attending church, listening to music, or listening to her mother tell stories from her youth.
