Makweti Safari ranked Number One for Speciality Lodging
Guests of Makweti Safari Lodge have given the South African game reserve the ultimate travellers’ seal of approval by voting it into the number one spot for Speciality Lodging in Welgevonden Game Reserve on the world’s largest travel site, TripAdvisor.
“We are delighted that our guests enjoy their experiences at Makweti so much that they spend time and effort writing such fantastic reviews,” said Helen Wilson, General Manager.
One recent review is entitled “The most sensational place I have ever stayed”, and made mention of head guide Test Malunga’s knowledge. Test, who recently achieved his SKS birding qualification from the Field Guides Association of Southern Africa, is thus a worthy recipient of the praise which reviewers give in bucketful’s. Other staff members are mentioned by name, from management to guides and chefs.
“The accommodations were gorgeous, the food was utterly delicious and creative, each detail in the lodge was thoughtful and beautiful,” reads another review, while other guests, focus on the wildlife. “The safaris were great, game viewing, sun downers on the plains, high tea and abundance of animals, Lion, Rhino, Elephant, Cheetas (sic) and many Antelope and Zebra.”
